The festival is free to attend and packed with family-friendly entertainment alongside an array of food stalls, serving everything from freshly caught seafood to artisan cheeses and breads. Visitors can taste and shop the very best local produce while watching talented chefs and producers showcase their skills and share their expertise.
Helston Flora Day

Helston comes alive on Friday, 8 May 2026 for its world-famous Flora Day, a vibrant celebration of spring, community, and centuries-old tradition. From the early morning beat of the big bass drum, dancers wind through the flower-decorated streets, led by the lively Helston Town Band. The day features four main dances - the Early Morning Dance, the Children’s Dance, the Midday Furry Dance, and the Evening Dance - each filled with colour, music, and joyful movement.
A highlight is the Hal an Tow pageant, where local folklore and mythical figures like St George and St Michael are brought to life in a lively street performance. This summer, Cornwall’s golden sands at Perranporth Beach will once again play host to Tunes in the Dunes 2026, a three‑day live music festival from 5 – 7 June 2026 that blends sun, sea and sensational music into one unforgettable weekend.
Set right on the beach with the Atlantic rolling in the background, the festival brings an eclectic mix of national and international artists to a unique seaside stage, with headline acts like Basement Jaxx, The Wombats and Ministry of Sound Classical already confirmed alongside a vibrant supporting lineup spanning indie, rock, dance, funk and more.
